Ok i have a 04 recon that wont shift into gear. Discussion starter 1 feb 27 2011. I put the bike up on all 4 in the air and shifted thru all the gears manually and it moved fine.

250 honda recon shifting problem. Im having a shifting problem with my recon. My 2007 honda recon 250 backfires a little as u gear down is this normal. There is a screw on the bottom rt side of the carburetor. The trans will shift up and down using the push buttons thru all the gears if the engine isnt running or if the engine is running but wheels not moving.
